A 21 day NHS Digital course designed for novice coders providing training in the use of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications. Training includes theory and practical coding.
Group and individual exercises throughout the course ensure learning objectives have been successfully achieved. Post-module assessments evaluate learner aptitude.
Entry Criteria: This course is only open to staff already employed as a novice clinical coder in an NHS Trust (including a Mental Health Trust) or an independent sector treatment centre (ISTC) which treats, and codes consultant episodes for, NHS patients.
